You should take note that the performance of these processors is not easy to measure. For example, a 3GHz AMD processor will not work the same as its Intel counterpart. The discrepancy can be seen in the speed although its functionality and overall performance is actually the same. For this reason, you will see that AMD 1.73GHz Athlon XP 2100+ will actually have the same performance as that of a Intel 2.1GHz Pentium 4.
