Are clear quartz crystals the same as clear quartz beads?

I’m trying to bring some positive energy flow into my life and a friend told me to have at least one clear quartz crystal next to my bedside when I sleep or do other relaxing activities. But I’m pretty sure if my parents found some crystals next to my bedside they would scream, “WITCH!” at me and all that [no offense to witches out there]. So I was wondering if I could disguise this as an art project or something I usually do, using beads. Please help!!

You don’t need points of a stone to get the healing/balancing/whatever effect you would get from a stone. When they say “crystal” they mean the material, not the shape. I use beads all the time to carry semi-precious stones with me. I have found it difficult to find clear quartz beads though, for some reason.
Consider making a rosary or piece of jewelry with them… I love making pagan rosaries! I do custom work if you’re interested, but it sounds like you want to do something yourself,
